As the primary management function, effective strategic planning establishes the basis for all the other things that EMS administrators do. In this session, we will discuss informal vs. formal planning, political and administrative engagement and collaboration, and will address the four (4) reasons why EMS administrators should plan strategically. In addition, we will discuss the six-step strategic management process encompassing strategy planning, implementation, and evaluation.
